AI is pressuring businesses to support more challenging and transformative operations. Prior to the advent of genAI, automations were built for chronological, linear, stepwise and rule-based routing and execution. As AI gets infused into automation design, less structured, free form, and probabilistic patterns will evolve. This means process tools must integrate with and coordinate advancing AI Models. This alters both the psychology of business leaders, and how they must manage operations. This session covers topics that outline the potential and risks of AI-led automation including: the importance of AI agents and agentic process management, how DPA orchestration must advance, and what DPA governance will mean going forward.
