As we are mindful of the environmental impact of producing clothing and other promotional products, Camunda is doing our best to reduce the carbon footprint of our presence at this event.
Instead of spending our budget on swag, we’ll be donating the funds we’d have used for promotional items to support the following causes:
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières
Doctors Without Borders offers life-saving medical humanitarian aid to those in need. The doctors, nurses, and other frontline workers of Doctors Without Borders are often among the first to arrive when conflict, disease, or other disasters strike around the world.
Tafel Germany
Tafel Deutschland’s mission is simple: saving food, helping people. Through 970 food banks around Germany, Tafel fights food waste and poverty by rescuing surplus food and providing it to approximately two million people who are impacted by poverty.
International Committee of the Red Cross
Established in 1863, the ICRC operates worldwide, helping people affected by conflict and armed violence and promoting the laws that protect victims of war. The ICRC has been present in Israel and the occupied territories since 1967. As a neutral, independent, humanitarian organization, the ICRC visits detainees and helps improve access to essential services and supplies in Gaza.
Girls Who Code
Girls Who Code is on a mission to close the gender gap in technology and to change the image of what a programmer looks like and does.
ASPCA
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®) was the first humane society to be established in North America and is, today, one of the largest in the world. The ASPCA’s mission, as stated by founder Henry Bergh in 1866, is “to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States.”
