The Product Manager for Process Operations is a critical position responsible for contributing to the success of Camunda in the marketplace. At Camunda, Process Operations components provide transparency and real time visibility to monitor, analyze and resolve problems with automated processes. Currently, these components include Camunda Operate and Camunda Cockpit.

To be successful in this role, you need to bring a strong product management background with experience, technical acumen and a thorough understanding of the enterprise IT ecosystem. Experience managing a B2B Process Automation SaaS product and Java knowledge are a big plus for this role.

You will be part of a growing Product team that is defining Camunda's product strategy and transforming the Process Automation market. The team embraces Camunda's collaborative and accountable culture alongside an emphasis on "failing fast" to succeed.

The ultimate goal of your role is to expand Operate’s capabilities significantly and position it as a product that allows developers to successfully operate their processes and decisions at scale. Some examples include adding capabilities around decision execution and history API for audit purposes. While expanding Operate’s reach in the Camunda Cloud stack, you will be also responsible for improving Camunda Cockpit iteratively based on customer feedback.

What you'll do:

  • Expand Camunda’s Process Operations capabilities significantly and position Operate as a product that allows developers to successfully operate their processes and decisions at scale.
  • Define market-driven product requirements focused on delivering improvements to the Camunda product portfolio.
  • Manage community, customer, partner and internal feedback with an emphasis on successfully driving innovation to improve the flexibility, performance, scale, and security of Camunda's product portfolio.
  • Fully evaluating and prioritizing incoming feature requests for Operate and Cockpit.
  • Keeping the core Operate team equipped to be working on the right stories.
  • Continuous assessment of Camunda Operate market demand, differentiating use cases and competitive landscape.

What you'll bring along:

  • 2+ years of product management experience in Enterprise software (e.g. knowledge about enterprise buying centers, subscription-based pricing model, enterprise software buying journey and sales cycles)
  • Experience of OKRs, customer research techniques, design, Go-To-Market planning, Backlog management, and working in Agile environments
  • Experience managing a SaaS B2B product that is used by IT departments (Software Developers, Operations, etc.)
  • Technical knowledge of the Java ecosystem, databases, web applications, SaaS infrastructure
  • Strong communication skills - both internally collaborating with others and externally presenting to customers

It would be a plus if you: 

  • Have experience working with a product that is available as SaaS and on-prem
  • Have knowledge and experience in Process Automation, BPM(N), or RPA 
  • Have experience in Elasticsearch
