*This is a remote role and can be based anywhere in the Eastern Region of the US.

Your role:

Camunda’s Consulting team supports prospects and customers along their entire journey with Camunda BPM. This includes enabling new customers with training and supporting their projects with topic-specific workshops and consulting sessions.

As Senior Technical Account Manager, you will guide our key account customers through their strategic process automation projects in all technical matters. You plan necessary milestones ahead of time and provide individual and ongoing technical guidance. The direct impact and value of this role lies in faster production deployment, higher implementation quality, and increased adoption which leads to higher customer satisfaction & loyalty, increased renewal rates, and increased potential for vertical and horizontal expansion. 

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with the Customer Success Team and pro-actively plan necessary technical guidance based on project plans and major milestones for the client’s Camunda workflow automation projects
  • Establish trustful relationships with major technical stakeholders of key accounts
  • Ensures a proper education of the client's project team and other important stakeholders in the Camunda product stack as well as in surrounding technologies & standards 
  • Identify and mitigate technical project risks by providing proactive technical engagements (like technical reviews, expert workshops, etc). and ensuring the application of best practices Contribute to the continuous improvement of our workshop portfolio and related content
  • Contribute to various side projects of our team based on your interest. E.g. writing Best Practice Guides, helping community users on the Camunda Forum, creating Showcase Snippets, speaking at Community Events, writing Blog Posts - and there are many more options!

What you’ll bring along: 

  • At least 5 years in a Technical Account Manager role or a similar customer-facing position
  • Strong customer-facing attitude
  • 3+ years of experience in Java and integration of systems, corresponding tools/frameworks, and in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Proficient knowledge about cloud and infrastructure technologies like Kubernetes, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain complex problems in easy to understand words
  • Proficient communication skills and proven experience in communicating with senior tech roles
  • Hands-on attitude and a high level of self-motivation to deep-dive into scenarios you may not be super familiar with
  • Fluent in English 
  • Willingness to travel (about 25% of your time)
  • BPM/BPMN or experience process automation is a strong plus
