The Free Edition of Camunda Self-Managed allows for production usage of Zeebe, but does not allow for production usage of Camunda Operate, Camunda Tasklist, or Camunda Optimize.
Kubernetes and container images are the preferred method to run Camunda Self-Managed in production. This provides you with predictable and consistent configuration, and the ability to manage deployment using automation tools.
Zeebe, Operate and Tasklist – to automate
In order to install Zeebe and related components into Kubernetes, use the provided Helm charts.
Additional Camunda components
Modeler – to design
Modeler is used to design BPMN workflows and forms. Modeler runs locally as a desktop application, choose your preferred distribution and install. Note: We also offer a web based version of Modeler with Camunda SaaS and Camunda Self-Managed.
Optimize – to improve
Optimize for Camunda Self-Managed can be setup using Docker. Check out our documentation for detailed instructions including all optional configuration properties.
