Camunda Cloud 1.0 Released

We’re excited to announce the release of Camunda Cloud 1.0. Camunda Cloud 1.0 is a significant milestone for the product as well as for Camunda. We’re excited to announce the release of Camunda Cloud 1.0.0-alpha2, which includes Zeebe 1.0.0-alpha2 Operate 1.0.0-alpha2 Tasklist 1.0.0-alpha2 Updates in Cloud Console How to get it In this post, we’ll highlight some of the new capabilities introduced in these alpha releases. Zeebe 1.0.0-alpha2 The Zeebe team continued its work on getting ready for the 1.0 release and improving many internal components of the workflow engine and its underlying infrastructure. Nevertheless, the alpha2 release already provides an improvement for users of the Java client. The Java job worker implementation now offers a back-off mechanism if the Zeebe service is not available. Announcing Zeebe, Operate and Tasklist 1.0.0-alpha1

Today we are excited to announce the three releases: In this post, we’ll highlight some of the new capabilities introduced in these alpha releases. Zeebe 1.0.0-alpha1 Zeebe 1.0.0-alpha1 is a big milestone for us. With this release we made major improvements to Zeebe’s Performance and Memory Management and removed YAML workflow support. Improved Performance and Memory Management We have made significant improvements to Zeebe’s performance and memory management by migrating RocksDB to use a one column family. We tested performance during our normal benchmark, which starts a simple process with one task and around 40kb payload. We use three brokers with three partitions and a replication factor of three. You can grab the releases via the usual channels: Docker Hub GitHub Maven Central As usual, if you’d like to get started immediately, you can find information about it directly on the Zeebe & Operate documentation website. It is possible to perform a rolling upgrade to Zeebe 0.25 from the 0.24.4 release but not from previous 0.24 patch releases.
