Camunda Promises a Partner-friendly Business Strategy

The Process Automation market opportunity is huge. With market estimates in excess of $10 billion for software alone, 97% of enterprise IT decision makers agree that Process Automation is vital to their digital transformation initiative. According to The State of Process Automation report, Process Automation is cited as the key driver of innovation and is the most important factor to achieve business outcomes.  Partners have long been integral to our success, which is why we recently unveiled our new Camunda Connect Partner Program that provides expanded support for organizations that develop and implement Camunda, sell Camunda, or include Camunda among their solution offerings. As part of our new program, we recently held the first-ever conference exclusively for partners: Camunda Connect…

Process Automation Centers of Excellence: the secret behind successful digital transformation

Have you successfully implemented Process Automation technology in areas of your organization, but find yourself struggling to drive further adoption? Are organizational silos, ease of knowledge sharing and resistance to change slowing things down? You aren’t alone. Moving from pilot and lighthouse projects to a full Process Automation program is a challenge. But, there’s a solution — establishing Process Automation Centers of Excellence (CoE) to share best practices and drive organization-wide digital transformation. “If you had one team working on the pilot, and probably also the lighthouse project, they will not only have become very familiar with the technology and architecture, but will have learned a couple of valuable lessons the hard way. These are incredibly valuable experiences and you…

How Vodafone modernized legacy architecture with Camunda

Vodafone Germany is the largest national company in the Vodafone Group — in fact, every second German is a Vodafone customer. As an established leader in the telco industry, Vodafone faced several legacy technology problems that were creating issues for the business and customers. Its OTELO and branded reseller IT system ran a vast number of different services, supporting an array of customer-facing channels — from campaigns and product offers to POS. However, it was impossible to separate the channels and, without an effective API layer in the infrastructure, Vodafone couldn’t establish an important online partner channel that was urgently required within its branded reseller and second brand segments.  This legacy services technology wasn’t just ineffective to use and difficult…

Community Questions: Camunda Web Apps

On the last Thursday of every month anyone from the Camunda community can get their burning questions answered live on the Camunda Question Corner, and myself and Nele will do our best to answer them. We tend to pick a special topic for each Question Corner and bring along a knowledgeable special guest so that folks have the opportunity to get their deep-dive questions answered by qualified experts.  One of our more recent Question Corners took the special topic of the Camunda Web apps and we were joined by a developer who actually builds those web apps for Camunda — Martin Stamm. We got a lot of great questions, but having only 45 minutes to answer them meant that we…

Camunda at NASA: Perseverance prepares to land on Mars

A mammoth seven-month, 470-million-km (292,044-million-miles) journey is about to come to an end — in just a few short hours the Perseverance rover is scheduled to touch down on Mars.  But the hardest part of the journey is still to come. The descent down to the Red Planet, dubbed “seven minutes of terror” by NASA engineers, will see Perseverance slow its descent from a blistering 20,000km/h (12,427m/ph) down to a ‘slow walk’, before gently landing in Jezero Crater. A NASA illustration showing the Perseverance heat shield separation, which will occur during descent today — Courtesy NASA/JPL-Caltech NASA Mission Control expects to receive confirmation that it has hit the top of the Martian atmosphere at around 21:48 CET / 15:48 EST…

Automate manual tasks with Camunda and Trello

This article is the third in a series exploring fun, straightforward ways you can control workflows using Camunda Cloud — have a read of the others for some background if you’d like to see Camunda Cloud in action with Restzeebe, without a line of code: In the first two articles of this series you learned how to execute workflows, how to control the flow and take different paths depending on the context, and how workers execute their individual code in a task. These examples might have felt a bit too theoretical, so now I would like to present you with a use case: controlling manual tasks with to-do lists. Manual processes still exist, more often than you might think. For example,…
