Announcing Zeebe, Operate and Tasklist 1.0.0-alpha1

Today we are excited to announce the three releases: In this post, we’ll highlight some of the new capabilities introduced in these alpha releases. Zeebe 1.0.0-alpha1 Zeebe 1.0.0-alpha1 is a big milestone for us. With this release we made major improvements to Zeebe’s Performance and Memory Management and removed YAML workflow support. Improved Performance and Memory Management We have made significant improvements to Zeebe’s performance and memory management by migrating RocksDB to use a one column family. We tested performance during our normal benchmark, which starts a simple process with one task and around 40kb payload. We use three brokers with three partitions and a replication factor of three. A new release for Zeebe and Operate 0.26 is available now. You can grab the releases via the usual channels: Docker Hub GitHub Maven Central As usual, if you’d like to get started immediately, you can find information about it directly on the Zeebe & Operate documentation website. It is possible to perform a rolling upgrade to Zeebe 0.26 from 0.25. For Camunda Cloud users, 0.26 is the new production version since this week, your existing clusters were already upgraded automatically. Zeebe Performance Tuning tool

Falko Menge, one of our Camunda Consultants, has released a performance benchmarking/tuning tool that he has been using for the past year with Camunda customers to tune Zeebe for their production workloads. It is a spreadsheet template for creating and recording performance tests, and observing the effects of the various parameters on performance. We did a live stream explaining how it works, which you can view here. The spreadsheet itself is available here. You can make a copy of the spreadsheet and use it for your own testing. A new release for Zeebe 0.25.1 and Operate 0.25.0 is available now. You can grab the releases via the usual channels: Docker Hub GitHub Maven Central As usual, if you’d like to get started immediately, you can find information about it directly on the Zeebe & Operate documentation website. It is possible to perform a rolling upgrade to Zeebe 0.25 from the 0.24.4 release but not from previous 0.24 patch releases. For Camunda Cloud users, 0.25.1 will become the new production version in the next week, your existing clusters will be upgraded automatically.
