The CAM project in JIRA is moving to GitHub

For almost 10 years, JIRA has been our development issue tracker for the core components of Camunda Platform 7. About 15,000 tickets later, Camunda’s engineering has grown from one team to a team of teams. Many new projects have used GitHub exclusively as a code repository and an issue tracker from the start. In October, we will move the CAM project to GitHub issues. With this change we are reducing the gap: our community can participate in our development processes with a single account. We achieve a unified approach for managing development issues, making it easier for everyone to participate. We thank everyone who has contributed to our CAM issue tracker and hope that the collaboration continues in our new…

Camunda Community Review 2020

Camunda, both as a company and a platform, is lucky to have strong involvement every step of the way from a thriving community. While a lot has happened this year, I felt it’s good to highlight what the community has achieved in three simple categories. Code, Community and Comrades.  Code: lots of people write code that embedded and extended Camunda projects like the Engine and our Modeler. Getting Involved in Community Events This Summer

Our awesome community is what makes us who we are. Passionate Camunda users like you organize events and activities around the world, and that’s something to celebrate! With summer just around the corner, we’re excited to alert you to some great virtual events that are scheduled. We also want to share some recent events and what made them so special, and perhaps give you an idea for organizing an event of your own.

Migrating processes from Pega to Camunda Platform 7 – Step-by-step Tutorial

It’s well known that process flows created in Pega don’t conform to any open standard, despite looking rather BPMN-like. Folks who are looking to jump start their migration from Pega to Camunda are stuck having to manually redraw processes in Modeler. But manually redrawing process flows is tedious and time consuming, especially if there are many or complex processes to convert. In this tutorial we’ll step you through a utility that can help you generate a BPMN compliant process that can serve as a starting point for your Pega to Camunda conversion.

Migrating process BPMN from IBM BPM to Camunda – Step-by-step Tutorial

If you’re thinking you can export BPMN from IBM expecting to be able to open it in Camunda Modeler you might be in for a surprise. As has been discovered, IBM BPMN exports do not include diagram information that tools like Camunda Modeler use to render a diagram. In this tutorial we’ll step you through two approaches taking advantage of utilities developed by our consulting team to help you create a complete diagram that can be opened and viewed not only in Camunda Modeler but in any BPMN compliant design tool.
