The self-service growth product manager (SSGPM) will own our targets for self-service revenue and graduation opportunities (from self-service to enterprise plan). To achieve this, the SSGPM will systematically convert free trial users into paying self-service customers, retain those customers and expand their usage over time, until they are ready to graduate to the enterprise plan. 

The SSGPM is a senior product manager role and therefore part of the PM team, with a solid reporting line to the VP of Product Management. At the same time, the SSGPM will be part of the cross-functional growth engine team, with a dotted reporting line directly to the CEO.

This is a unique opportunity to play an instrumental role in driving the further growth of Camunda, and to shape our future as the unquestioned leader in the process orchestration category. 

What you'll get to do:

  • Gather intelligence about our self-service (potential) customers, by conducting qualitative (f.ex. 1:1 interviews) and quantitative (f.ex. surveys) analysis.
  • Based on that intelligence, run experiments to test ideas for improvements, f.ex. regarding the pricing model, the check out experience, etc.
  • Surface potential improvements in the product (UX, missing features, etc) and collaborate with other product managers to implement them.
  • Train our sales people on how to position the self-service plan vs. the enterprise plan, answer advanced questions, and participate in sales calls to support and learn.
  • Clarify internal processes and business rules, f.ex. regarding technical support or customer success management for self-service customers.
  • Define, adjust, monitor, and report on key metrics (in collaboration with the data team)
  • Simulate and report on business model KPI (in collaboration with FP&A)

What will you bring along:

  • Experience in enterprise software companies that target developers as primary users. 
  • Ideally, experience with self-service / product-led growth motions
  • Strong project / cross-functional management skills. Ability to clarify requirements, set priorities, communicate clearly and drive timelines.
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse set of functions (f.ex. Finance, Legal, Engineering, Marketing) to drive results. 
  • Ability to use tools such as Salesforce, GSheets, and BI tools (f.ex. Metabase) to pull data and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, high visibility, and being the directly responsible individual for the self-service business with defined targets.
  • Growth mindset and resourcefulness to get things done cross-functionally.
  • Strong analytical skills and structured thinking. You know how to ask the right questions, answer them based on data, and turn data from disparate sources into a vision for what we should do.
  • Passion for driving revenue in a product-led growth motion.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a remote-first organization.
  • Willingness to learn and use Camunda.
