We are happy to announce the Camunda Modeler 4.9 release. This release ships with support for Camunda Cloud 1.1, improvements to the core editor UI, BPMN and DMN editor enhancements, and bug fixes.

Support for Camunda Cloud 1.1
With this release we added new BPMN elements supported by Camunda Cloud 1.1. If you like to deploy and run your processes directly from within the editor, you can now do so against a Camunda Cloud 1.1 instance too.
Supporting BPMN in Color
The BPMN in Color specification defines a format to exchange colors on a BPMN diagram in a cross-vendor fashion. With Camunda Modeler 4.9 we added support for the specification. As a result, colors added with this release are now interchangeable with the growing list of other tools that support the specification, too.
There’s More
This release ships with a number of additional noteworthy changes. Highlights include:
- Basic “what is new” communication
- Connecting BPMN message flows to call activities
- Further improvement on our status bar — moving our deploy and run tooling to it. (We might remove the toolbar one day, maybe!)
- Bug fixes, bug fixes, and more bug fixes.
