We’re excited to announce a new release of Camunda Optimize.

Camunda Optimize provides business activity monitoring for workflows, supporting continuous process improvement by providing transparency into your automated workflows and decisions. Business-friendly reports, dashboards, and alerts make it possible to identify process bottlenecks, improve end-to-end processes, and evaluate the success of your process automation initiative.

In this post, we’ll highlight some of the new capabilities.

What’s new?

Descriptions for reports and dashboards

A description of how to “read” visualized data and context on why exactly this data is displayed greatly improves readability of reports and dashboards. With the release of 3.10 we introduced Text Reports that can be added as tiles, similar to other reports and allow to place descriptions directly beside reports. With this release we added description fields that are directly related to reports and dashboards. The description is displayed directly below the title.

In edit mode, the description can be set and changed.

The description is also displayed on the Collections page to ease finding a certain report or dashboard.

Carbon Design System migration

Carbon-design-system-camunda-optimize

We are in the process of migrating Camunda Optimize UI to use the Carbon Design System. Our primary focus is to bring the Optimize UI in line with other Camunda products, providing a consistent and seamless experience across the entire ecosystem. With this migration, we will also adhere to accessibility best practices, ensuring that our application is usable by a broader range of users.

The migration to the Carbon Design System for Camunda Optimize is an ongoing effort. We have already successfully migrated modals, tables, and popovers, ensuring that these components seamlessly integrate into the new design. While the functionality you love remains intact, you can expect a refreshing new UI that aligns with the Carbon Design System.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to migrate and improve different components of the application.

What’s next?

Stay tuned for the 3.11 minor release of Camunda Optimize.
