Meet Beatriz Teixeira

Beatriz-camundi

Let’s start with the basics

What is your name and your role at Camunda? (Sales, CSM, ADR, RevOps, etc.)?

My name is Beatriz (you can call me Bea) and I am a Manager for the EMEA Account Development Team (ADR).

Your path to Sales

How did you get started in this field, and what experiences shaped your approach to customer engagement and relationship-building?

My first professional experience was working at a restaurant during university, where I discovered how much I enjoy working with people. I loved creating experiences that made someone’s day better, even in small ways. After completing my Master’s, I joined my previous company in the tech industry and realized that the same principle applies on a larger scale: helping people and businesses grow through technology. That’s what drew me to Sales, tech, and ultimately to becoming a manager, the opportunity to connect with others, understand their goals, and have a real impact on their success. For me, Sales is all about curiosity, relationships, and enabling progress together.

Discovering Camunda

How did you learn about Camunda, and what motivated you to join the team?

I first came across Camunda on LinkedIn, and what drew me in was the balance between ambition and authenticity, a fast-moving environment where you can innovate, but also one that values transparency, empathy, and ownership. After years supporting the startup ecosystem, I wanted to experience what it would be like to build something from the inside,  to be part of a company scaling with purpose and vision. I joined because I wanted to work in a place where people are trusted to experiment, learn, and grow, with a strong culture that respects individuality. Throughout the interview process, it became clear that Camunda is a place where people feel empowered, supported, and genuinely happy, and that felt like the right environment to keep growing both personally and professionally.

Life in a remote Sales world

Working in Sales remotely can look different everywhere. What does a typical day look like for you, and how do you stay connected with customers and teammates?

Working remotely makes you become more intentional about your time. I usually start my mornings with a workout and a good breakfast (non-negotiable!) before reviewing my to-dos and calendar.  I’m one of those people who treats their calendar like a Bible. From there, my days are a mix of team syncs, 1-1s, coaching sessions and strategic, focus time (which yes, I time block for!)

Remote-setup
My fully remote work setup: Where ideas come to life!

Because remote work can easily become all business, I make it a point to be deliberate about staying connected, regularly checking in with my team on Slack, taking a few minutes in 1-1s to ask about life, or setting up a quick virtual coffee just to chat about nothing in particular. There’s no physical water cooler, but there’s always room to build those personal relationships if you make space for it. To keep my own wellbeing  in check, I also try to step away from the screen,  going for a walk after lunch, taking an in-person sports class, or grabbing a coffee or drink with a friend at the end of the day.

I believe great results come from strong teamwork and genuine wellbeing,  you can’t pour from an empty cup. Those small rituals of connection and balance help me stay grounded and connected, both to my team and to the world around me.

Proud moments

What’s a recent project, win, or customer success story that made you proud to be part of Camunda’s GTM team?

In the three months I’ve been with Camunda, I’ve had the chance to join two in-person offsites and three customer events: in Zurich, Paris, and New York. Seeing the customer interactions up close, hearing stories of how businesses are enabled by our technology, and getting to meet my colleagues in person to brainstorm ideas, strategy, or simply to have a coffee or a beer has been incredible. I felt genuinely proud seeing full rooms of customers at Camunda Locals as a result of my team’s direct efforts,  it was such a rewarding moment and a great reminder of the impact we can create together.

Collaboration and culture

How would you describe the culture within the Sales org, what makes it special, or what do you appreciate most about your teammates?

I’d describe our Sales culture as open, confident, and always improving. What makes it special is the genuine mix of ambition and kindness: people here care deeply about doing great work, but just as much about how they do it. There’s openness to feedback, new ideas, and experimentation, and a shared drive to get just 1% better every day.

What I appreciate most about my teammates is how nice, respectful, and supportive everyone is. There’s a real sense of collaboration. People celebrate each other’s wins, lend a hand when things get tough, and find happiness in the day-to-day moments. It’s a team that’s passionate about our customers and our mission, but also about building a culture where everyone feels valued and empowered to grow.

Growth and learning

What’s one lesson, mindset, or habit that’s helped you succeed in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment?

One mindset that’s really helped me recently is reminding myself that “everyone is being a human for the first time.” It’s ok to make mistakes, have less-than-perfect reactions. We are all learning as we go. The most important thing is that you learn through it, and try doing better next time. It’s something I try to keep in mind during challenging conversations, high-pressure moments, or situations that could easily feel personal. Remembering that we’re all learning as we go helps me approach others with more empathy and curiosity rather than frustration or defensiveness.

It also helps me handle my own mistakes with more grace. In a fast-paced, customer-facing environment, that mindset keeps me grounded and resilient. You will not succeed all the time. You will have less good days. That’s also what makes it more fun.

Personal passion

What excites you the most outside of your work?

Outside of work, I’m still adjusting to a new city and figuring out what hobbies will become part of my routine. I’ve always loved going out for food and drinks with friends, but lately I’ve been exploring new things like pilates, ceramics, or even cooking—and honestly, I’m open to anything that sounds fun. I guess you could say I’m passionate about finding new passions, staying curious and trying things that might surprise me. Traveling, music, reading, watching TV shows, and spending time with friends having long conversations will probably always stay at the top of my list.

Career advice

Any advice for someone looking to build a career in Sales, Customer Success, or RevOps?

If you’re looking to build a career in Sales, Customer Success, or RevOps, take ownership of it, no one will care more than you. Be intentional about what excites you, what energizes you, and the next steps you want to explore.

Understand that rejection is part of the journey; each “no” is an opportunity to learn and improve. Keep your focus on the end goal, but stay open to new experiences, feedback, and unexpected paths along the way.

Use your current role as a learning lab: try new things, seek feedback, and connect your growth with results. Whichever role you are in right now, there is an opportunity for you to build up the experience and body of work to get you to the role you aim to get. But you have to be intentional about it, and put in the work and not expect others to solve it for you.
