The Challenge: Streamlining complex processes in highly-regulated environments

QuickSign operates in a domain where process speed, accuracy, security, and legal compliance are critical. Their clients need to instantly open customer accounts, grant consumer loans, or settle car insurance claims, but face multiple onboarding challenges, including: 

  • Delivering simple, accessible customer journeys across multiple regions to the widest audience—in a very competitive market. 
  • Complying with strict national, local, and industry-specific laws and regulations, including personal data protections.
  • Mitigating risk by identifying potentially fraudulent behavior and assessing creditworthiness.

To support their clients’ customer journeys, reduce risk, and ensure compliance, QuickSign orchestrates multiple complex tasks such as eIDAS-certified trust services consisting of e-identity (eID), know your customer (eKYC) and e-sign (eSIGN); AML-compliant remote identification and contract validation; structured and unstructured data collection through connections to third parties, business intelligence; and real-time fraud analysis.

Complexity escalates when multiple regulatory frameworks are involved. Fourty-five (45) distinct services are connected to QuickSign’s market place ensuring a complete mapping of customer onboarding needs across Europe. Beyond compliance, whatever the operational circumstances, QuickSign offers 1 API with 1 SLAs, enabling clients to grant credit or open accounts instantly, even in high demand, highly-complex onboarding workflows.

QuickSign needed a process orchestration and automation platform that could manage their clients’ complexities, scale to support millions of consumer transactions per month, and ensure high availability and auditability. Initially built on Camunda 7, QuickSign redesigned the entire orchestration platform in 2020 to run on Camunda 8.
