What You’ll Be Doing:

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our “Human Task Orchestration” Team. Together with this remote, cross-functional team you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and operation of Camunda Platform 8 Human Task Orchestration use-case which includes a Form Builder, a Form Renderer, and a Tasklist application. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute and improve how our users can build Human Task Orchestration solutions powered by our Form Builder and Tasklist
  • Understand, develop, and own the Java Backend of the Camunda Tasklist application

What You Bring:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Java Backend Engineer in a professional software application development environment
  • Experience working with Spring and Spring Boot
  • Ability and/or willingness to use our product
  • Finished a technical Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or similar (Mathematics, Business Informatics, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a remote environment following an incremental approach: use written communication for regular status updates and capturing key decisions, deliver work results in small iterations (within days)

  • Partner Management:

What You Bring:

  • 5-7 years of field sales experience either in Channel or direct capacity
  • Ideal but not required -background in Digital Process Automation or related space (ideally open source)
  • Strong sales/marketing skills including needs analysis, business planning, closing methodology

The Operate/Tasklist team develop the operations and human task orchestration consoles for Camunda 8 Platform, allowing users to not only monitor, analyze and resolve problems with any process instance, but also to assign and execute tasks requiring human interactions in an easy and seamless manner. 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to help us take these products to the next level. You will be fully empowered to make decisions while collaborating and being supported by Product Management, Product Designers and other Engineers.

*This is a remote role and can be based anywhere in EMEA. We currently do not provide any immigration support for this role.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Developing features and improvements to the product in a secure, well-tested, and performant way that meet our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices. You will maintain and advocate for these standards through code reviews.
  • Collaborating with Product Management, Product Designers, Frontend Engineers and other stakeholders to maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
  • Helping our customers resolve problems operating our software as part of 3rd-level support.
  • Performing spikes to discover technical requirements and solutions to problems with high technical uncertainty.
  • Engaging with our community by helping in our user forum, publishing blog posts, or speaking at community meet-ups.

What You Bring:

  • Ability and/or willingness to use our product
  • 5+ years of experience as a Java Backend Engineer
  • Excellent knowledge and experience using Java
  • Practical experience working with Spring and Spring Boot
  • A pragmatic and autonomous approach to programming and problem solving.
  • Ambition and drive to understand and own an established codebase that solves complex business problems.

What You’ll Be Doing:

What You Bring:

 

  • Ability and/or willingness to use our product
  • 5+ years of experience in Java programming and enterprise software development
  • Experience as a consultant or 2nd/3rd level support engineer for complex enterprise software
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain complex problems in easy to understand words
  • Hands-on attitude and a high level of self-motivation to deep-dive into scenarios you may not be super familiar with
  • Current knowledge on new technologies, frameworks and architecture
  • Fluent in French and English

We are looking for a (Senior) Fullstack Engineer (Backend focus) to join our team and support us in developing new features in the Identity and Access Management domain.   • Design and build new features and APIs with Java and Spring Boot

The ultimate goal of your role is to increase Camunda’s SaaS platform maturity significantly and make sure the platform follows industry best practices. You will own one of the central components of Camunda Platform - Camunda Console. 
In this role you will define a cloud strategy and roadmap that ensure our customers can use our Platform on our managed service and in their own public or private cloud efficiently. 
In close collaboration with key customers and internal stakeholders you will be able to define how we can accelerate Camunda platform installation and configuration as well as simplify maintenance tasks for our customer base (e.g. using Helm charts or a K8s Operator). On top you will be able to define how we can expand our SaaS offering to more public cloud vendors and how we can be listed on various Cloud Marketplaces.

What you will do:

  • Define market-driven product requirements focused on delivering improvements to the Camunda product portfolio.

  • Fully evaluate and prioritize incoming feature requests.
  • Keep the core teams (Console + Distribution) equipped to be working on the appropriate user stories.
  • Continuous assessment of Camunda demand, market differentiation, and the competitive landscape.

What you bring:

  • Ability and/or willingness to use our product.
  • 5+ years product management experience in Enterprise software (e.g. knowledge about enterprise buying centers, subscription-based pricing model, enterprise software buying journey and sales cycles)
  • 3+ years product management experience in SaaS B2B product with focus on cloud manageability, installation and platform
  • Experience of OKRs, customer research techniques, product design, Go-To-Market planning, backlog management, and working in Agile teams
  • Technical knowledge of cloud-native applications, databases, web applications, SaaS infrastructure
  • Strong communication skills - both internally collaborating with others and externally presenting to customers

It would be a plus (but not required!) if you: 

  • Have experience managing a product used by IT departments (Software Developers, Operations, etc.)
  • Have experience working with a product that is available as SaaS and on-prem

The Senior Product Manager for Camunda Modeling is a critical position responsible for contributing to the success of Camunda in the marketplace.
