The newly formed data team has a team-lead and the analytics engineer will be the first hire. Our goal is to serve Camunda's Growth teams by collecting data, defining the single source of truth, and using the data we have to better understand our users and drive strategic outcomes. We work across departments to iterate on small projects while building scalable data practices that will enable Camunda to rapidly grow in the coming years.

Vision for the Role:

Camunda began a Product Led Growth go to market strategy in January of 2022. At the beginning of Q3, we decided to build a data team to collect, leverage, and provide additional data insights for our product, engineering, and go to market teams.

The Analytics Engineer will be responsible for collecting data from various tools and databases. They will model this data and provide clean data sets off of which business users can create reports and dashboards. This person will also be able to provide ad hoc reporting.

This person will continue to add new data sources and activate data by sending it to the business users' tools. They will integrate new endpoints, as needed.

*This is a remote role and can be based anywhere in Europe.

What you'll be doing:

  • Building scalable models data in DBT
  • Create and maintain data pipelines
  • Work directly with our engineering, product management, marketing, sales, and finance teams to define successful analytic outcomes
  • Building initial dashboards and reports in BI tools
  • Optimize the data warehouse to enable efficient reporting
  • Develop internal SQL style guide and code best practices

What you’ll bring along:

  • Strong experience with SQL
  • Knowledge of cloud based data warehouse, any of the following: BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, etc
  • Business Intelligence tooling with any of the following: Tableau, Mixpanel, Looker, PowerBI, etc

We are looking for a Software Engineer (Backend) to join our “Connectors”-Team. Together with this remote, cross-functional team you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and operation of Camunda Platform 8 Connectors. These Connectors allow the integration of Camunda Platform with standard, and custom external systems.

  • Understand, develop, and own an open-source Java SDK, which is used by internal and external developers to develop new Connectors

This is a remote role.

What you’ll bring along:

  • Finished a technical Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or similar (Mathematics, Business Informatics, etc.)
  • At least 2-3 years of experience as a Java Backend Engineer in a professional software application development environment
  • Knowledge about integration with standard Software (e.g., REST or gRPC, OAuth authentication, WebHooks, …)
  • Ability to work in a remote environment following an incremental approach: use written communication for regular status updates and capturing key decisions, deliver work results in small iterations (within days)

Summary

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) plays a key role in establishing Camunda as the unquestioned leader for process orchestration software in order to drive our rapid and sustainable growth. 

To that end, the CMO will oversee Camunda’s overall marketing strategy and execution across all initiatives and channels. They will ensure the highest functional standards in their department, which consists of the following teams (~25 FTE total): 

  • Brand and Creative
  • Corporate Communications
  • Demand Generation
  • Events Marketing
  • Marketing Operations
  • Product Marketing
  • Web Marketing

The CMO will apply and provide those functions successfully to drive and support our growth engine, that is product-led and seller-accelerated. The CMO is a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) that reports to the CEO. The other SLT members are the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Chief People Officer (CPO), and the Chief of Staff (CoS). 

The CMO and their reports will drive and support many cross-functional initiatives across the organization, partnering with other key functions such as product management and developer relations, sales and sales development, talent acquisition, and legal & compliance. 

Qualified candidates will be experienced, tech-savvy enterprise software marketing leaders with a strong passion for our product and a remote-first mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a high performing team (attract, assess, onboard, enable, grow, and offboard talent) and lead it with empowerment and accountability.
  • Successfully combine product-led growth (PLG) with account based experience (ABX) in order to help generate self-service revenue and enterprise sales opportunities. 
  • Own and beat top-of-funnel targets such as product signups and lead generation, and co-own sales pipeline generation (partner with sales development).
  • Ensure operational excellence and rapid experimentation to make data driven decisions on where to double down and where to back off: Simplify, prioritize and focus (majority of budget on few core plays).
  • Educate the market (including industry analysts, market influencers and the media) in order to create the process orchestration category, and ensure that Camunda is recognized as the category leader.
  • Support Sales with the right content (including battle cards and case studies) to educate the economic buyer about Camunda and its competitive advantage.
  • Build a highly successful channel partner marketing program.
  • Manage the marketing spend (plan, forecast, report), approx. €6M in 2022.
  • Develop and maintain a marketing culture that is aligned with our FAITH values, is truly remote-first and highly agile, working in fast iterations and having candid conversations based on metrics and data.
  • Establish and maintain healthy, effective partnerships between Marketing functions and other functions in the organization.

  • Substantial marketing experience in the enterprise software business.
  • Played a key role in setting up PLG and ABX motions in a rapidly growing company with a developer oriented software product. 
  • Can demonstrate proficiency in metrics driven, operational excellence.

Your role:

Rapidly expanding globally, we are looking for an Corporate Account Executive to join our sales team in the DACH region. About the team:

Camunda Platform 8 orchestrates complex business processes that span people, systems, and devices. Partner Management:

  • Manages named partners in region to assist sales team in meeting and exceeding business targets, inclusive of Regional SI’s, & Resellers

  • Executes go to market plans with managed partners, runs account mapping sessions, oversees onboarding, pipeline development & marketing plans

Sales Alignment:

  • Functions as extended member of the Camunda Sales team in the regions they support, attending sales meetings, weekly calls, pipeline calls and other functions to support partner engagement in the business
  • Aligns with Sales Management and AE’s on all partner-driven opportunities in the territory, providing deal alignment and guidance from initiation to closure in sales cycles and supports partners throughout sales process
  • Conducts & coordinates directly with AEs to execute regular field alignment & pipeline development efforts including account mapping, partner sales sessions, cadence calls with Sales, etc.

What you’ll bring along:

  • 5-7 years of field sales experience either in Channel or direct capacity
  • Fluent in German, English with French highly desirable
  • Ideal but not required -background in Digital Process Automation or related space (ideally open source)
  • Strong sales/marketing skills including needs analysis, business planning, closing methodology
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence and guide stakeholders
  • Knowledge of a sales cycle, process, and methods can apply to the partner sales process

About the team:

Camunda's CSMs are trusted advisors to the customer, fostering successful adoption which will naturally lead to retention. Responsible for renewals, they spot opportunities for expansion and team up with sales when it comes to commercial negotiations.

The infrastructure team is crucial in the Camunda Products delivery cycle. With our services, other Engineering teams can: 

  • execute over a thousand automated test pipelines a day in our CI Platform,
  • within minutes, deploy and get feedback on the new product features long before they are released using our Preview Platform,
  • deploy the new versions of the Camunda Products to our artifact storages, where they are available to thousands of Camunda customers 24/7.

Our mindset: if something is bothering us, we fix it. We aim at continuously iterating to have smooth and sensible processes. 

As a service-oriented team, we are enabling the Engineering teams by providing them with the platform services and consulting them on the relevant technical topics.

What you'll be doing: 

As Working Student Business Systems Administrator, you’ll play a vital role at Camunda in the Business Systems team. We are looking for a proactive individual that can help us continually improve and enhance our Salesforce platform. Our Salesforce user experience is of great importance to us, therefore you should enjoy all aspects of user management including support tickets and developing solutions with user satisfaction as priority.

This is a varied business facing role, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Implement (including meaningful tests and code review) new features in Camunda’s salesforce instance from Field Operations feedback using technologies like Apex, Visualforce, Javascript, Lightning Framework, SQL, SOQL, Flows, etc.  
  2. Responsible for the support, maintenance and development of Camunda’s Salesforce org and related and/or integrated applications, including but not limited to 
    1. Customer & Partner Portal
    2. DealHub
    3. FinancialForce
    4. Slack
  3. All aspects of user management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups
  4. Data management to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed
  5. Identify areas of standardization  and simplification in Salesforce 
  6. Maintain and deliver a backlog of Salesforce issues in Jira
  7. Creating and maintaining confluence documentation
  8. Support Field Ops questions and issues via a dedicated slack channel which are related to Salesforce and related applications

*This is a remote role and can be based anywhere in Germany.

What you will be doing: 

  • You will work primarily in the compliance area, conduct compliance assessments, independently reviewing export guidelines and identify potential risk areas, such as human rights violations, to ensure our corporate standards are respected.
  • You will pro-actively support the business and support the team escalate instances of non-compliance and/or regulatory risk.
  • You will support the legal team and work on diverse projects within the department (e.g. legal data maintenance, projects in the fields of data protection, contract reviewing, etc.).
  • You will research on various legal and IT-law related issues and pursue solution-oriented approaches.

What you will bring along:

  • You are a currently enrolled student at a college/university and are studying law, business law, international law or a comparable subject (for at least two semesters).
  • You ideally have experience in independently researching and evaluating legal issues and have good legal writing skills in English, ideally in German, too.
  • You are comfortable using the English language in a professional environment, knowledge of the German language is a plus.
  • You will enjoy working with legal software like Ironclad or Onetrust.
  • You have strong analytical skills, technical understanding and work responsibly, independently and carefully.
